This story is the sequel to Joséphine’s Diary posted on July 30th.
Sandra would spend hours in the attic sorting her dead mother’s belongings.
Aviator goggles, Indian saris, djelabas and fatma hands shared the room with a library, exceptionnal in its litterary content, extraordinary in its technical knowledge gathering.
Yet , only a pile of dusty leather covered note books caught her attention. She placed them in the « keep box », ran her fingers on the last one and didn’t resist the urge to open it.
Joséphine Charpentier’s diary entries were her favorite bedtime stories. She relished her words, and jut like her, just like her mother, she traveled the world.
This story is a part of my summer writing challenge : writing a 100 word story everyday, the 29 th installment.
Today’s prompt brought me back to a softer territory, in the universe set by Mlle Louise in her text « Entre les lignes ».
