Josephine’s Diary (July 30th)

Amelia spent hours reading Josephine Charpentier’s diary. The old lady had enclosed so many details her young reader could smell the perfume of white tea, scones, spices of india and the salty air of the Pacific ocean.

Jo wrote about transportations, sleeping accomodations, food but really hooked her reader with the description of her emotions : Amelia saw all the countries she had visited.

Last sentence of the diary was a warning : you who read these lines, do not wait to see for yourself if I told the truth. Your kids will grow up, you will grow old.

This post is an answer to today’s writing prompt on the Dailypost blog :  (blank) is the new (blank).

Going through Mlle Louise’s blog I found « Growing old » is the new « information »,
which does not make any sense but found an echo in a text she sent me today.
I do hope she will post it because today’s story is an answer to her story.

This story is a part of my summer writing challenge : writing a 100 word story everyday, the 21 st installment.

You can read all the details of my challenge and my reasons for doing it (and not CampNaNoWriMo) here.

I hope you will like today’s story and please do not hesitate to leave a comment.
